------------Um, but he's ALREADY a professor. I don't see why parents 
would object any more strongly to a criminal teaching their children 
DADA rather than potions. Either way, there's still a former criminal 
teaching the kids! Maybe it's something as simple as that Snape's 
strengths lie in potions, regardless of whether he'd rather they were 
in DADA.
