Okay, that really has nothing to do with the discussion, but I love 
that quote.  :)
 
Wonderful posts, all.  I'm in the "Hermione is indeed a very 
intelligent witch, if not a genius" camp myself.  I'm sure that she 
will in some way contribute to LV's downfall, and her intelligence 
will be her contribution (I think she'll do something similar to 
getting past the logic puzzle in SS/PS).  

She's definitely headed for Head Girl... though I do have my doubts 
on who Head Boy will be.  (Right now I'm guessing either Harry, 
Terry Boot, or Draco Malfoy - *maybe* Ron if he gets his act 
together, but that's highly doubtful - the only reason I wonder is 
due to Ron's vision in the Mirror of Erised.  He's already helped to 
win the Quidditch Cup for Gryffindor, and I could see him eventually 
becoming Quidditch Captain or at least co-captain - is Head Boyship 
next?)
