I'm not sure that we can blame Lupin's joblessness on Snape, as Lupin
would have resigned in any case because of his own fear of harming the
students, and recent legislation requires all werewolves to register
with the MoM, making it difficult for him to find a job anywhere.
There is, after all, a rational basis for the anti-werewolf prejudice
and it is spread throughout the WW.
