I'm sorry, JDR, but I think this goes way too far. It might be nice
if you were to phrase this as an opinion. Some of us actually kinda
like Hermione....

Have to agree. Hermione can be a little irritating for some people with her
extensive knowledge and her willingness to show it sometimes ('I have a
book, and I know how to use it!" *lol*), she can be sneaky and underhanded,
such as with the hex she put on that list, but overall, she has a heart. If
she didn't, she would have never gotten past the "And *you* are?" stage with
Ron, would not have wasted time helping Neville...and would not have gotten
so upset about the elves.
Like any of the kids, she's young, inexperinced, has a good heart, but is
still making mistakes and can come across badly because of it. And like the
other kids, as long as she keeps learning and *growing*, she will be
fine--if not, she might *become* a bitch, but not likely (not as likely as
some of the other scenarios where one or more of the kids end up turning
'wrong', IMHO). Personally, what is being presented as appearant
"bitchiness" comes across to me as a young woman who knows her own mind
already (even if she doesn't always express it...'correctly'). In other
words, the girl has a backbone, and doesn't allow it to bend.
That's a good thing...^^
