I may be misunderstanding your argument (entirely possible) but a werewolf
obviously *doesn't* transform for 24 hours because Remus transformed
sometime late at night during the finale of PoA and then changed back
sometime that morning - presumably not very late in the morning because once
the students were awake I imagine a naked man might have some difficulty
getting back to the castle without being seen ...
