Help with Lupin's boggart / Cockroaches

In the maze in GoF Harry uses riddikulus to get rid of a boggart, but 
it simply vanishes and we never find out what a ridiculus dementor 
looks like. It did occur to me that perhaps the strength of the spell 
causes it to work quicker. In GoF Harry is comfortable with the spell 
so the boggart vanishes immediately, Lupin would naturally be good at 
it.
