Geoff:
This seems to link with what I said in message 97970 where I 
suggested that TR was using the name Rubeus deliberately to wind 
Hagrid up and, in view of the circumstances on which he is using it, 
I think he is also trying to frighten Hagrid about the likely 
consequences of "shopping" him over Aragog.
