Well, I wasn't the one who wrote the original post, but I can think 
of at least one example. There's the end-of-term feasts in PS/SS and 
CoS, when Dumbledore drops A LOT of points on Gryffindor to help them 
win the cup over Slytherin (the action itself I don't see as being so 
bad, just doing it in public, *especially* after Slytherin is already 
thought to have won, and the amount of points is rather high too). 
Then there's in GoF, when Fred and George hiss at a first year just 
because he was sorted into Slytherin. (I'm not sure about this, but 
don't Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw root for Gryffindor over Slytherin in 
quidditch trials / housepoints?).
