By the same token, a Gryffindor who thinks Slytherin is the House of 
Dark Wizards may not consider a Slytherin for a job.I think it's 
just like in the real world.  Someone from your alma mater applies 
for a job and you may look more favorably at her resume.  But that's 
only going to go so far. 

I really can't see that House Loyalty would be taken too far after 
graduating.  It would probably show up most when your child goes to 
school or when you select your seat in the stands for the Quidditch 
matches.
