What if it's not his powers?

I've been reading a bunch of the "will Harry lose his powers" stuff
and it's all well and good but it seems to be based on the notion
that Harry somehow sacrifices his powers because they are what means
the most to him.

I don't get that at all.

What did Harry see in the Mirror of Erised, himself as the most
powerful wizard around? Nope, a family. What Harry wants most is
the kind of loving family he has never had. If he has to sacrifice
what he wants the most, I think it will be a family.

And I can see how it happens.

Harry and Ginny hook up somewhat, in that they figure out how much
they care for each other and how perfectly it all works out the two
of them hook up and Ron and Hermione hook up and they all get to be a
nice happy extended family and all that fun stuff.

But at some point Harry has to make a decision that ends up costing
Ron's life. Neither Hermione nor Ginny can really ever forgive him,
yada yada et cetera and so forth.

Just a thought.
