I was just following Campbell's scheme on the most literal level--the last stage of the 
jounrrey is called "The Return." Think about it this way: each of the books begins and ends 
in the muggle world; wouldn't it make sense for the series to end that way? (I'm not 
married to this, btw, just woolgathering...)

I was thinking more in terms of Harry looking up and wanting to live in a world where he 
would be considered whole....
