I doubt that there will be a TRULY happy ending. I believe bittersweet might be a better word to use. Just because 'a happy ending' doesn't seem to be Rowling's type of style. Plus a bittersweet ending is what gives a book class. And if the ending is purely tragic, I'm sure that there will be a lesson to learn from it.
