My reply:  I agree with you about that Alla.  I think people give Snape the benefit of doubt all the time and give Sirius very little benefit.  I personally believe that he regrets the way he treated Snape in school, but not all that much.  There is obviously a lot more to their story, I just wish we would get to hear about it sometime.
