Lord Byron Anyone? (Was Assyria and Wizardly Geography}

This has been an interesting thread to follow!  But does anyone else 
think of the Lord Byron poem, "The Destruction of Sennacherib," when 
they hear the word Assyria?  Maybe I'm just a literature geek, but 
the first line of the poem is:

"The Assyrian came down like the wolf on the fold"

I think I agree the most with the poster (sorry for not remembering 
the post!) who mentioned that maybe the mention of Assyria is a clue 
to reinforce the Biblical parallels in the plot?
