 A couple of thoughts. I too would like to know just what bits of 
 Benjy were found. I doubt it is an exact parallel to 
 Pettigrew/Scabbers, but JKR could put a twist in it.

I don't know how important this is but did you notice that Lupin was 
not standing next to his best buddies in the picture? In fact, he's 
pictured two rows in front of his friends, right between Emmeline 
Vance and Benjy Fenwick.
