But what if, by the end of Book 7, most of those friends and allies are
dead?  Not to mention his parents, Sirius, etc.  Perhaps Harry would look
forward to death as a chance to reunite with friends and meet the parents he
never knew...I could see an ending where Harry's death is viewed not as
tragic but more as a well-earned chance for some peace and happiness...
