Exactly what were Snape and Florence up to behind the greenhouses, hmm?

So far as I've been able to see, nobody has yet come up with firm
time-lines for leaving school, marriages, births of children, etc. for the
James, Lily generation. The estimates I've read vary by up to five years.
No one knows how early J&L got married, no-one knows how soon
Harry appeared on the scene, and so on. It's all guesswork. And while
any slippage remains, I'll stick to my theory.
