A few months ago I posted that I thought that Lupin had been in love 
with Lily and that he acted strangely to Harry's comments about the 
voices he heard at Godric's Hollow (Harry's dementor encounter).  

Lupin says to Harry: "You heard your father?" I don't think that 
James was at GH.
