Finally someone brought up a point that's been bothering me ever
since the discussion on the ML began. Why doesn't anyone think of 
what Sirius' "joke" would've done to Lupin had James not interfered. 
I bet Sirius didn't think about it. I bet he had all the 
excuses, "Snape is probably too cowardly to go," "He'll turn 
back," "He'll run as soon as he hears the most muted howl." But what 
if? I for one, have little doubt that James put a stop to it more 
out of concern for Remus than anything else.
