I think the point is, Hagrid doesn't seem to turn up in Surrey until
midnight of 1st November, but he collected Harry the previous night.

So Hagrid has to go somewhere with Harry for a day, and that's where
Spinners End might come in.

Alternatively, both Godric's Hollow and Spinners End could be either
houses or streets or villages.  What's to say one isn't contained in
the other.
