Neville as Provider of Information

If I recall correctly there is a theory that Neville experienced
something during the night his parents were Crucio'ed and that his
memory has suffered as a result.

There are at least a couple instances of Neville either providing
information or having information that Harry would wish he had.

I am thinking of the bit about Nicholas Flamel in Sorcerer's Stone and
the Gillyweed in Goblet of Fire.  It's Neville that gives Harry the
Dumbledore card that mentions Flamel and it's Neville who has the
water plants book.

Are there any other instances that I am not recalling?

Might that be Neville's role in the grand finale, to provide
information to Harry that he will need during the confrontation with
Lord Thingy?
