She gave 5 points each to Harry and Ron for saving Hermione after she 
had deducted 5 points from Hermione for going after the troll.  
Earlier, before the "midnight duel," Hermione mentioned that Ron and 
Harry being in the hall after hours was going to get them in trouble 
and lose the points she had earned in transfiguration for knowing 
about switching spells.

All in all, I'd say that MM does give out points, maybe just not as 
often as some others, or maybe e just don't always hear about it.
