In response to your comment on him saving himself when possesed, Yes I agree that DD Couldnt possibly have saved Harry from his possesion, BUT Harry didnt save himself either! In the sence that he did it on purpose! Harry didnt say:
"Ok, I'm possesed here, ok I need to clear my mind and that will get him out, Yes that's what I'll do..."
All Harry did was think about how he was going to die! He saved himself by luck! Even if you say he has the reason to gloat about this feat, yes he did not get killed, but he still shouldn't make it as if he won some heroic battle! THAT is my point here.
