Just imagine:  You've been through a living hell, survived it, and 
then some punk who used to call you four-eyes in junior high shows up 
to say, in essence, "Nyah, nyah, can't catch me! (blows 
raspberries)"  I have always taken this as a sign that Harry has 
truly outgrown Draco as a rival.  He's been gritting his teeth and 
putting up with him for a while, but this is the point where Harry 
kind of says, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a d**n!!
Also, Harry fought LV in Goblet of Fire, and I think this is the 
first time Draco's called him out since.  So it's not like he hasn't 
done anything at all to Voldemort.
