Ummm.  I'm glad someone read my post....
I'm a little embarrassed that there is discussion of my tone.  

I promise to try to be totally unapologetic in the future - not likely
to happen though since I have a fatal attraction to the word "sorry".

One of the ideas that I was trying to express is that I read the
Dursley's as a bit of a parody.  I was concerned that this might
further incite the abuse thread since some people appear to feel
strongly about the Dursley's behavior toward Harry.  I'm not
interested in joining in that discussion myself because, to me, they
are not to be believed.

Hopefully this is enough on topic for the list-elves, since I am still
moderated.
