I like your idea Steve, it would be extremely funny to
see Dennis levitating over the fence or wall, but...
it's just too easy, maybe he took one of the tunnels,
just like Harry did in PoA, Fred and George could have
told them how to open it, but I doubt they are willing
to share their secret with anyone considering they
didn't even tell Ron about it. Or since it's JKR's
world she just changed the rules, allowing Dennis and
other 2nd year students to visit Hogsmeade.
