Angie's still clueless:
Well, Hermione's parents are Muggles, and she apparently practiced 
spells before she ever set foot at Hogwarts.  Hermione told Ron adn 
Harry in SS, the first time she met them, "I've tried a few simple 
spells, just for practice and it's all worked for me."
