for you. Just a Moonstruck-esque "Snap out of it!" kind of thing, 
you know?

Alas, I wonder if you won't have to find *that* particular happy 
ending in fanfic alone.  I know I've got my favorite novel-length 
fic [and I don't read many, but this is awesome] ready to file on 
the shelf w/ canon if I'm not totally satisfied w/ the outcome.
