Why the dismay from JKR?

I'm not sure, but I do know she's expressed similar feelings about
Draco fandom as well. I think it comes down to the fact that she knows
things about Snape that we don't, and because she knows what she
knows, she doesn't think that he's an attractive character. He's not
mysterious to her the way he is to the rest of us.

That's my theory anyway.
