I've wondered whether DD was tipped off and if it was an inside job, 
as well.  Of course, the fact the vault was broken into after the 
stone was moved justifies it being moved after the fact, but sheds no 
light on what possessed DD to move it in the first place.  It may 
just be a plot device, but this one bothers me for some unknown 
reason.
