Don't you think that Snape's worst enemy is Snape? Maybe left to 
himself he will suffer more?

Alla:

Actually, this is  a VERY good point. You are right, I kind of 
started thinking that Harry also knows that the time of final 
confrontation comes and has to devote everything to the fight.

I have to think about it, but on the other hand the War already 
started, so Harry has to know that it may happen soon.
