This is true and noted in OOtP "Careers Advice" where in potions
class after Harry has visited Snapes pensieve, Snape is ignoring
Harry entirely as though he were invisible.
Harry notes to himself that being left alone he is able to easily
make what he believes is a potion worth an Exceeds Expectations
grade. It seems he does learn from Snape.
Someone recently used the term no-nonsense to describe Snapes
teaching style too and I just wanted to say that I don't agree that
applies to Snapes teaching approach. I actually think he carries on
with a *lot* of nonsense. It's semantics really so no need to debate
it, I just disagree with that.
