Feklar:
I think that's the key difference as well: she's talking about "falling"
for the bad guy. By her advice about them to her own experiences (I'm
assuming she wasn't ever with a serial murderer) she even seems to be
implying that they are "bad" not in terms of evil, but bad relationship
material (which they clearly are). She also seems to be indicating that she
understands they appeal of those who are "mad, bad and dangerous to know."
