Toto: 
 I'll beg to differ there. I think that if Ron hadn't been made 
prefect, he may have been harder on Harry and so on: Ron's prefect 
badge first, and then being on the quidditch team, have helped him 
accept himself and learn not to "steal" Harry's way of doing things. 
It helped him mature (not that I like what he is maturing into that 
much).
  Another point: To have made them prefect have shown that they have 
different methods, and do *not* work well as a team.
