Not that it detracts from your point but (as I'm sure you'll 
remember) Mrs. Finnegan did meet Harry (briefly to be sure) at the 
QWC.
BTW, I totally agree that Seamus owed Harry *at least* the chance to 
defend himself before Seamus made up his mind
