Finwitch:
Still, in COS, shortly after the Dual Club, Harry, in search for
Justin, hears two Hufflepuffs discuss - they think Harry had *sent*
that snake on Justin (while he really did just opposite) - he's
hidden in the Invisibility Section of the Hogwarts Library.
In POA, a book called the Invisible Book of Invisibility is
mentioned. (Shop-keeper complains: cost a fortune and we were never
able to find them).
So I *don't* think that Dumbledore's ability to become invisible
without a cloak has anything at all to do with animagi. With a whole
*section* of books about invisibility, I'd say there are *plenty* of
other ways. I think Dumbledore casts an invisibility charm on himself
to wander around the hallways unseen...
