The same here. Ron has no respect for what's important for Hermione 
(books and learning, to name but two). The fact that after 5 years she 
has learned to ignore his quips, does not make his lack of basic 
acceptance of her values any more right.
In school setting he tries to drag her down, because her success makes 
him look worse, how on earth will he cope with a more successful/higher 
earning wife?
