Well, I don't think that's real reason. Hagrid is a brave guy, and he seemed
nervous and distraught when he opened the door, as if he was expecting
someone or something really dangerous or more powerful than usual. My guess
is we'll find out eventually, but whatever his reason was to open the door
armed to his teeth, it was a good one.
