Pippin:
Ron says that poisonous toadstools don't change their spots, 
but Dumbledore believes in second chances. Dumbledore 
approved of showing mercy to Pettigrew, who betrayed the Order, 
and helped to commit murder, so why not Snape, no matter what 
he's done?
