Unforgiveable curse for any reason might set a dangerous precedent in
that child's life, since then they might feel more "comfortable," in a
sense, with killing as a means to solve a problem. Not that I don't
think Voldemort of all people doesn't deserve to be killed, but as
he's proved in the past, maybe he *can't* be killed, even by his own
AK curse backfiring on him. And the point was made by Dumbledore at
the MoM battle that there could be a fate worse than death for someone
like Voldemort.

Oh Oh Oh, good point and you just sparked a neuron!

What would be worse than death for Voldemort? Recall when he spoke to
Harry in SS/PS... "There is only power and those too weak to seek it!"

So what could be worse than death for the Dark Lord? POWERLESSNESS! To
be a muggle would be the worste, or to be a wizard who is just
powerless would be almost as bad.

Wish I could write more but for now...
