Snape's stalling

I don't think Snape and Crouch Jr were working together. Crouch!
Moody was giving Snape a hard time that night Harry was stuck on the 
stairs.  Although, I suppose we could go back and look to see if it 
could be read differently.

I think he was stalling Harry for Dumbledore.  Now, a nicer person 
might have said, "the Headmaster will be right down.  Wait here." 
but Snape isn't nice.  :-)
