Wasn't Halloween also celebrated by the Celts as Samhain? (I'm not 
sure I'm spelling that correctly.)  If memory serves, it was believed 
that the veil between this world and the afterworld was at its 
thinnest point at this time and that spirits could pass through from 
one world to the other.  Now, how that could have fit in with Voldy's 
plans is anyone's guess.  I just thought I'd throw it out there.
