I agree.  I can't imagine what it is. I have no doubt that LV enjoyed 
toying with Harry, and was maybe even trying to make Harry feel 
guilty for being the person Lily sacrified herself for, just because 
he's so cruel.  But I believe there was a legitimate reason for his 
willingness to spare her; he was obviously multi-tasking!
