Carol:
Snape, or rather Severus, was also fifteen at the time, so whatever he
did to "deserve" being publicly humiliated deserves the same
forgiveness or tolerance, doesn't it? And that would include his
calling Lily a "Mudblood" (under duress), which to me is less evil
(and certainly less dangerous) than James's (and Sirius's) treatment
of him. Just a thought.
