GEO: Probably because the original put a bit of himself into the 
diary in order to give it some semblance of life. As for Harry, he 
doesn't have a piece of Voldemort in him, if he did it wouldn't 
survive in him just as Voldemort's spirit could not survive in Harry 
when he tried to take the boy over.
