   Maybe she thought about it, but it would greatly have limited the 
interest of the DA. One of the big reason for creating the DA was 
for them to recognize Harry as a human being and a friend and maybe 
a teacher, not a distant hero but someone that we respect and 
know.... And Hermione couldn't very well do that if all the menbers 
were already friends.
