Great post, Amy. I can only answer this question for myself, of 
course. 
When I started to read the books, my answer would be neither, 
because I started to read them simply out of curiosity.

But, when I read first four books, I think that in many aspects, 
especially ethics wise, I found  the books to affirm my views AND I 
guess that I will be dissapointed if at the end the books will 
challenge my views on profound ethics or morality issues.
