Marauder's Map and COS

I tend to think not, because the makers of the map -- James, Sirius, 
Lupin, and Wormtail -- apparently did not know where the COS was 
located, to include it on the map.  Any ideas?"

I think you're right.  Hagrid's hut also didn't appear to be on the map, not the inside at least, as Lupin only noted Peter Pettigrew on the map after HRH emerged from Hagrid's.  MWPP can't get into enough trouble at Hagrid's to warrant it being on the map. ;-) No secret tunnels or whatnot. While they may have known the Chamber of Secrets story, they didn't know where the Chamber was, so couldn't put it on the map.  JMO.
