I can't think of situation where subsequent facts have contradicted 
something DD has said definitively, so I don't think we have to worry 
about who the prophecy is referring to.  In short, we can take DD's 
word for it.

But just in case you can't, try looking at it this way.  For JKR to 
introduce another agent as the actual prophecy target would be, in my 
mind, one of the worst examples of Deus Ex Machina, and quite 
frankly, I think she's too good a writer.
