Maybe the Marauders just wanted to give Hagrid or whomever, some 
privacy.  I'm assuming they determined the scope of the invasion of 
privacy that is the Marauder's Map.  I'll be the Chamber of Secrets 
isn't on there either, because they didn't know about it.
